What’s new in Tron's Star Trek v2.0.4
2.0.4 — 2026-09-23
- Repair holds now update secondary deadlines, space hazards and turn statistics once per day, with one enemy response per day, stopping when the mission ends.
- Overdue secondary objectives cannot be claimed. Scans and objective completion enforce the mission time limit immediately without adding enemy attacks.
- Engineering and Medical officer repair modifiers now affect passive repair and repair holds. Emergency repair energy costs divide by the modifier, rounded up; starbase full repair is unchanged.
- Engineering: 1.35x repair speed and lower emergency energy costs. Medical: 0.85x repair speed and higher emergency energy costs. Other officers: 1.0x.
- Added regression tests for the corrected gameplay rules and captured release screenshots in an isolated clean browser session.
- Updated release metadata and documentation; regenerated final checksums. Save format and storage keys are unchanged.
2.0.3 — 2026-09-23
- Bumped the reviewed maintenance release, visible title, manifest, README and current documentation to 2.0.3.
- Includes the previously reviewed save-loading, keyboard navigation, torpedo state, career-record and Mission Briefing feedback fixes.
- Gameplay rules, save format and storage keys are unchanged.
- Refreshed release screenshots and validation reports; regenerated and verified final checksums.
2.0.2 — 2026-09-23
- Resume failures now show a visible, screen-reader-announced message inside Mission Briefing, scroll into view, retain button focus and clear when starting a mission or retrying. Added regression tests for missing and invalid saves.
Second review fixes (v2.0.2 rebuilt):
- Reconcile torpedo button text, styling, targeting hint and accessible pressed state whenever a mission is rendered, including new and resumed missions.
- Restore all missing/non-numeric legacy statistics to safe numeric defaults so mission scores remain finite.
- Reject incomplete saved secondary missions and space-event records before replacing the active mission.
- Sanitize damaged career counters, decorations and history entries so Career Log remains usable.
- Added four browser regression groups; all 21 groups pass, including the earlier four fixes and seeded gameplay comparisons.
Review follow-up fixes (v2.0.2 rebuilt):
- Validate nested save data and normalize the candidate before replacing the active mission; restore the previous mission if rendering fails. Invalid legacy saves are retained without migration.
- Transfer keyboard focus to the destination map or tab when changing screens, and restore map focus only inside a visible screen.
- Make the persistent Arm Torpedo button open Short Range, matching the T shortcut.
- Clamp keyboard navigation by row and column at all map edges.
- Added regression coverage for all four review findings, including malformed saves and simulated load-render failures.
- Synchronized release metadata and visible title to v2.0.2.
- Persistent desktop ship-information sidebar, central game area and controls sidebar; stacked layout below 901px.
- Added independent 100–250% tactical/galaxy zoom, reset, drag pan mode, keyboard panning and fullscreen with browser fallback.
- Added keyboard map cells with coordinates/contact labels, visible focus, dialog focus trapping/restoration, selected-button states and a live captain’s log.
- Honors prefers-reduced-motion for alerts, targeting, transitions and combat flashes.
- Prevents gameplay shortcuts while editing commands or while a dialog is open; failed resume no longer dismisses initial mission setup.
- Preserved combat, difficulty, doctrines, officers, space events, scoring, AI and save format.
- Corrected tutorial/README history, refreshed screenshots and added reproducible validation tests.
- Regenerated checksums after final edits; verified packaged bytes.
