HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.17.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

INTERACTIVE MATCHUP GUIDE
- Compare all 91 pairings of 13 offensive calls and seven defenses.
- Select either call to inspect the offense's formation and both play tips.
- View ratings from each side, ranked offensive options against a coverage
and ranked defensive answers to a play. Equal ratings keep playbook order.
- Positive ratings favor the named side. They are base matchup ratings,
not yardage forecasts or success percentages; other game factors matter.
- Special teams, clock plays and trick plays are outside the comparison.
- Save or remove the selected calls in the existing shared favorites.
The call sheet refreshes without calling a play or changing game state.

ACCESS AND GAMEPLAY ISOLATION
- Open from the title screen, season hub or right-side Call panel.
- The dedicated overlay preserves the screen and selections underneath.
- Gameplay progression and game shortcuts pause while it is open.
- Entry is blocked during animations, simulation and practice. Practice
entry is blocked while studying the guide.
- Close, Escape or backdrop dismissal restores focus and resumes the live
game where appropriate. Tab navigation stays inside the guide.
- Selected comparisons last for the current page; favorites remain saved.
- Favorite save failures retain the current selection and explain recovery
through the existing Retry save control.
- The guide takes public call IDs only; no live hidden calls or RNG reads.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Season key, format 1.6, internal save version 7, review version 1 and
practice notebook version 1 are unchanged. No additional storage key.
- Original cover artwork retained byte-for-byte.
- 168 regression checks pass, including 15 guide checks and four added
call-sheet integration checks. All 91 pairings and both ranking lists
are verified against engine values.
- Coverage includes favorites persistence/retry, no-snap behavior,
keyboard isolation, entry gates, selection controls, focus and escaping.
- Studying matchups before each decision leaves a complete simulated game
identical, including its random sequence.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- Existing cover image-size advisory remains.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.16.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

SAVED PRACTICE NOTEBOOK
- Retains the latest 30 completed attempts independently of the season.
- Open Notebook from practice setup or after completing a drill.
- Filter by drill or result; newest attempts appear first.
- Expand each entry for its original settings and finishing score, clock,
resolved plays, elapsed time and Nebraska timeouts remaining.
- Replay setup restores the original seed and settings, including custom
objectives and both teams' timeouts. You choose the calls again.
- Notebook entries display the version in which they were recorded;
replay always uses the current version.

MATCHING-SETUP COMPARISONS
- Attempt reviews show objectives met out of matching retained attempts,
distinct seeds and fewest resolved plays in a successful attempt.
- Matching requires the same game version, drill, opponent, difficulty,
weather and every custom setting. Seeds may differ.
- Repeated seeds count as separate attempts. Resets and unfinished drills
are excluded, and rendering a completed review never adds duplicates.
- Comparisons describe retained practice history, not win probabilities.

PERSISTENCE AND COMPATIBILITY
- Uses a separate tronsoft_huskers_2026_practice storage key. Season save
key, format 1.6, internal version 7 and review version 1 are unchanged.
- Completed results survive page reloads and new seasons. Setup drafts
and unfinished attempts still remain only in the current page session.
- Failed writes keep results in memory and offer Retry notebook save.
- Unreadable or future-version notebooks remain intact until the user
explicitly confirms clearing them; new results remain in memory.
- Clear notebook requires confirmation and commits before clearing memory.
Season progress, favorites, trophies and game reviews are untouched.
- Original cover artwork is retained byte-for-byte.

VALIDATION
- 149 regression checks pass, including 15 notebook storage/engine checks
and seven added interface-handler checks for recording, replay, filters,
save retry, clearing, legacy-data protection and HTML escaping.
- Preset and custom setup replay restores the original initial state.
- Notebook reads/writes/clearing leave season state and its subsequent
random sequence unchanged.
- A retained 30-attempt sample uses about 18 KiB; a full-length 14-game
season remains about 366 KiB, within the 1 MiB storage estimate.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- Existing cover image-size advisory remains.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.15.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

SCORING CENTER
- New Scoring tab in the live sidebar and archived game reviews.
- Quarter line score with Q1–Q4, combined OT points and game totals.
- Chronological scoring timeline with team, score type, points, period,
game clock, cumulative score and resulting lead after each event.
- Includes offensive/defensive touchdowns, punt/kickoff return touchdowns,
field goals, safeties, extra points and two-point conversions.
- Successful conversions appear separately. Failed attempts remain in
the play log. All displayed score pairs show Nebraska first.
- The final-game screen also includes the quarter line score.
- Accessible table captions and row/column headings; descriptions are
escaped, and timeline cards wrap within the existing sidebar.

RECORDING AND COMPATIBILITY
- Scoring observes final score changes after an action resolves without
drawing randomness or changing engine outcomes.
- Event periods are captured before resolution, so a quarter-ending kick,
untimed conversion or overtime transition stays in its actual period.
- JSON save/load and archived game reviews retain independent records.
- New games start with complete scoring records. A resumed older game
records future scores from its next action, preserving earlier points
as a baseline. Unknown quarter totals remain unavailable.
- Older completed reviews retain their totals without fabricated history.
- Practice setups keep their initial score as a baseline.
- Save key, format 1.6, internal save version 7 and review version 1 remain
compatible. Original cover artwork is retained byte-for-byte.

VALIDATION
- 127 regression checks pass, including 18 new scoring checks covering
actual engine scores, exact OT periods, JSON persistence, legacy data,
read-only inspection, HTML escaping and live/archive interface handlers.
- Eight complete games match the engine without recording exactly, aside
from optional scoring metadata; every recorded score reconciles.
- A 14-game full-length season saves at about 366 KiB (UTF-16 estimate),
within the existing 1 MiB storage estimate.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- Existing cover image-size advisory remains.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.14.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

DRIVE EXPLORER
- The live Box tab and archived review Drives section now offer an
interactive drive explorer with per-team and per-result filters.
- Browse all, scoring, turnovers/downs or non-scoring possessions.
- Compare completed-drive counts, scoring rates, average starting field
position, recorded yards per drive, TDs, FGs, giveaways and downs.
- Result filters narrow the list without changing summary denominators.
Live possessions do not count in completed-drive averages.
- Field strips show start and final/current positions. Expand each drive
to read exact positions, result and starting quarter/clock.
- Filters and expanded rows survive refreshes separately for each game
during the current page session. Reloading resets this view state.
- Empty results and unavailable older positions have explanatory text.
- Enter or Space on a drive heading expands it without snapping the ball.

KICK-POSITION RECORDING FIX
- Previous kick endings sometimes used the receiving team's coordinate
frame or an overtime reset position. These could misplace chart bars.
- New completed drives include an optional endSpot field in the driving
team's frame. Punts and field goals record their actual kick spot.
- Kick bars exclude kick distance and returns. Older kick records with
ambiguous spots show only their starting position and Unavailable.
- Existing endYl data remains intact for compatibility. Archived reports
retain the new optional field, including through JSON save/load.
- Overtime displays OT, without inventing unrecorded period numbers.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Save key, format 1.6, internal save version 7 and review version 1 remain
compatible. No old statistics or field positions are fabricated.
- 109 regression checks pass, including 15 drive-explorer checks and a
keyboard guard check. Coverage includes filtering, summary denominators,
negative yards, live drives, legacy records, real kicks, archived saves,
interface events and unchanged results while reading reports.
- Eight full games match v1.13.0 exactly apart from the new endSpot data.
- Full-season save remains within the existing 1 MiB storage estimate.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- Original cover retained with its existing image-size advisory.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.13.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

CUSTOM PRACTICE BUILDER
- Practice now offers Build a custom situation alongside the four presets.
- Choose Touchdown drive, Move the chains, Scoring drive or Defensive stop.
- The objective sets possession; a live field preview shows the ball,
line to gain, field position and direction of attack.
- Set Nebraska/opponent territory and yard line, down, distance, both
scores, both teams' timeouts and the remaining fourth-quarter clock.
- All setups begin with a stopped clock, a fresh roster and no installs.
- Score range 0-99; timeouts 0-3; clock 0:01-15:00; down 1-4. Distance is
capped at the goal line. Invalid form values block Start drill.

OBJECTIVES AND REPEATS
- Touchdown drive requires six points; Move the chains accepts a first
down or touchdown; Scoring drive accepts a field goal or touchdown.
- Defensive stop accepts any possession ending without a touchdown,
including a field goal allowed. The scoreboard does not decide success.
- Clock expiry ends practice; attempts do not continue into overtime.
- Reset and Repeat restore the original setup, seed and fresh statistics.
New seed keeps the custom situation and varies the play sequence.
- Custom choices survive reopening Practice within the current page, but
are reset on reload. Attempts and custom choices are not saved.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Season save key, format 1.6 and internal save version 7 are unchanged.
- No practice writes to season state, saved options, favorites, reports,
trophies or statistics. Original presets and cover artwork are retained.
- 93 regression checks pass, including 14 additional custom-practice
checks. Boundary coverage includes 432 custom combinations of objective,
field position, weather, difficulty and seed, plus 108 preset cases.
- Tests cover real field goals, objective grading, legal field geometry,
form validation, repeat/reset/new-seed handlers, deterministic attempts
and unchanged season state and subsequent game simulation.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- The original cover retains its existing image-size advisory.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.12.0
Release date: 2026-09-30

YOUR CALL SHEET
- Heart buttons beside regular calls save offensive and defensive
favorites independently, without calling a play or advancing the game.
- Browse Favorites, Installed, This situation, or play-type groups.
- Offense adds Run, Pass, Short yardage and Red zone. Defense adds Run
defense, Pass defense and Pressure. Show all calls clears the filter.
- Situation groups use visible down, distance and field position only.
They are browsing shortcuts, not hidden-call information or predictions.
- Hearts identify favorites; stars still identify weekly install bonuses.

CONTROLS AND PERSISTENCE
- Keyboard assignments stay fixed. Hidden regular calls have no active
shortcut; Snap, clock controls and legal special teams stay available.
- The selected offensive call remains visible outside the chosen group
at the line. Existing current-call and once-only audible guards remain.
- Buttons have favorite labels and pressed states. Focus follows the
replacement control after filtering or toggling a favorite.
- Empty groups show recovery guidance and Show all calls.
- Favorites are stored with UI options using the existing save key.
They survive loading and replacement seasons. Malformed, duplicate or
obsolete saved favorite IDs are discarded without changing the season.
- Offensive and defensive filters are independent and reset to All calls
for new games and when loading. Practice retains its own full call list.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Save format 1.6 and internal save version 7 are unchanged.
- Older saves default to empty favorite lists. Game rules, staff advice,
season trends, archives and isolated practice behavior are retained.
- 79 regression checks pass, including 17 new call-sheet checks for
persistence, keyboard handling, audible guards, filter recovery and
identical full-game simulation with and without filter inspection.
- UI handlers tested with DOM stubs; browser visual testing unavailable.
- Original cover retained with its existing image-size advisory.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.11.0
Release date: 2026-09-29

STAFF GAME PLAN
- Game week recommends one offensive install, one support install and a
practice focus. Each recommendation explains the evidence behind it.
- Advice uses opponent game ratings and base run tendency, the forecast,
starter injuries, available-player ratings including development, and
up to three archived game reports.
- Recent sacks, giveaways and yards allowed can change the plan.
- Recovery and second-team development receive attention when starters
are unavailable. Training experience is earned after the game.
- Use staff plan fills the editable choices. It never commits them by
itself; Kick off or confirmed simulation does that.
- Recommended installs and focus carry Staff pick badges.
- Suggestions are heuristics, not predictions or hidden-call information.

SEASON TRENDS
- New Trends tab in the information sidebar.
- Compares up to three recent archived games with up to three preceding
archived games: offense/defense net yards per play, third-down rate,
sacks allowed rate and turnover margin per game.
- Rates combine underlying totals rather than averaging game percentages.
- Favorable/unfavorable changes are marked; unavailable rates show a dash.
- Recent score buttons reopen the recorded game reviews.
- Score-only results, practice attempts and live games are excluded.
- Definitions distinguish box-score trends from regular-call analytics;
small samples are explicitly provisional.

PREPARATION FLOW FIX
- Opening or applying the staff plan leaves season state unchanged.
- Canceling Sim this game keeps draft selections visible but no longer
writes the draft to season preparation. Back discards the draft.
- Starting a game requires exactly two distinct valid installs.
- Reopening Game week during a live game returns to the season screen.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Same save key, format 1.6 and internal save version.
- No new persistent fields or fabricated historical statistics.
- Reports consume no gameplay randomness and do not heal players.
- 62 regression checks pass, including advice for every defined opponent,
weighted trend calculations, draft/commit/cancel handlers and unchanged
full-game results after inspecting advice.
- Browser visual testing unavailable; UI handlers tested with DOM stubs.
- Original cover retained with its existing image-size advisory.

HUSKERS 2026 — VERSION 1.10.0
Release date: 2026-09-29

PRACTICE FIELD
- Open Practice from the header, title screen or season window.
- Four drills: two-minute touchdown drive, red-zone touchdown possession,
fourth-and-short conversion and a goal-line defensive stand.
- Choose a schedule opponent, difficulty, clear/windy/rainy weather and seed.
- Each drill starts in the fourth quarter with a stopped clock, a healthy
fresh roster, no player-development boosts and no weekly installs.
- Dedicated field diagram, scoreboard and recent plays on the left;
play calls, clock controls and coach shortlist on the right.
- Real play engine with pre-snap reads, one audible, defensive disguise,
sideline intent, timeouts and tempo changes.
- Clear objective result and tracked call statistics after each attempt.
- Repeat same setup or choose New seed. Same settings, seed and actions
reproduce the same sequence; changing decisions may change the sequence.
- Responsive practice screen; keyboard focus stays within the overlay.
- Focused buttons respond to Enter and Space without triggering field keys.

SEASON ISOLATION
- Practice owns separate state and never writes attempts to browser storage.
- Season progress, game reports, history and trophies are unchanged.
- The live turn pump pauses while the practice overlay is open.
- Practice is unavailable during active play animations or simulation.
- Exit or Escape returns to the original screen. Practice attempts are
intentionally discarded on exit or reload.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
- Existing save key, format 1.6 and save version retained.
- Cover art and previous coaching/reporting features retained.
- 46 regression checks pass, including 108 drill/weather/difficulty/seed
combinations and practice UI events exercised with DOM stubs.
- Verified deterministic repeats, objective scoring and season/RNG isolation.
- Browser visual testing unavailable in the build environment.
- Existing cover image size advisory remains.

- Previous/Next navigation between available reports.
- Continue after a final captures a compact independent snapshot before

a game loaded from an earlier version retains its available history.

AUTOSAVE FEEDBACK

button. The current in-memory season stays playable; keep the tab open

- Warning clears after a successful write or loading a saved season.

COMPATIBILITY AND VALIDATION
