What’s new in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral v1.3.0
GUNFIGHT AT THE O.K. CORRAL - CHANGELOG
Entries are kept from every release, newest first.
VERSION 1.3.0
Release Date: September 25, 2026
First Tronsoft Games Portal package (Package Specification v1.6.2).
ADDED
- Packaged to the Tronsoft Games Package Specification v1.6.2: manifest, storefront art, four screenshots, manual, tutorial, credits, licence, self-tests and a developer-side validator.
- Keyboard play of the whole game: Shift+arrows move a cursor over the map, Q jumps to the next enemy in sight, Enter moves to or fires at the cursor square; Tab reaches every button with a visible focus ring.
- Sound volume in four steps (100%, 60%, 30%, off) in place of on/off.
- Fullscreen button in the View row.
- Recorded sound effects in sounds/ (rendered from the game's own synthesized recipes); the game falls back to synthesis if a file cannot be loaded.
- The replay now shows the roster as the men stood at each step, not as the fight ended.
CHANGED
- Browser storage moved into this game's namespace: tronsoft_gunfight_at_the_ok_corral_save and tronsoft_gunfight_at_the_ok_corral_prefs. Saves and settings under the v1.0-1.2 keys are moved across once, on first launch.
- The computer opponent now lives in its own file (js/ai.js), and every modifier, cover value, nerve, wound, surrender and scoring number lives in one exported table that the rules, the manual and the tutorial all read. Play is unchanged: 1,800 fights across all ten scenarios replay shot for shot identically to v1.2.0.
FIXED
- Pressing Enter or Space on a focused button no longer also triggers the matching keyboard order.
SAVED GAMES
- Save format 1 is unchanged. The storage keys changed; older saves are migrated once. A save written by v1.3.0 cannot be read by v1.0-1.2, which look under the old keys.
VERSION 1.2.0
Release Date: September 24, 2026

- Skirmish in a Strange Town: a fictional marshal and three deputies against a gang of five in a town laid out fresh for every fight.
- The Tactics Primer: five lessons with objectives (Reading the Odds, Cover to Cover, Fire and Movement, The Flank, Breaking Nerve).
- Men walk square by square along their route; the walk respects reduced-motion settings.
